My crazy, insane, fall shooting schedule has officially kicked off! As the saying goes, October is to photographers what April is to accountants. It’s CRUNCH time, y’all! Luckily for me, I absolutely adore capturing sessions when the weather starts to get a little cooler (thank goodness), the colors are a little less harsh (hallelujah), and the light is still just as gorgeous (heck yes!).

Kicking off my Fall Senior Sessions is the absolutely GORGEOUS Emily! Emily is a senior that will be graduating in 2020 from St. Paul High School in St. Paul, KS! Saying this girl is stunning, gorgeous, angel-like, a total smokeshow is putting it mildly to say the least. This lady is crazy beautiful inside and out, and I was PUMPED when she messaged me wanting to schedule her senior pics! When discussing her session, she definitely wanted some unique locations outdoors, as well as some killer sports pictures!

After mulling over several location options for her outdoor shoot, we decided that the Baxter Spring, KS location would be PERFECT for her session! We decided to meet downtown first to walk the alleys and find some craze-amazing (okay I quote April Ludgate all the time, not even sorry) spots! Old doorways, retro paint jobs on buildings, and even antique gas pumps were just the backdrops we needed to make this girl pop against her background!

After a quick outfit change, we headed off the the famous Rainbow Bridge in Baxter Springs along Route 66! This iconic bridge is an eye-catching white that photographs beautifully! Emily was a total pro at any pose that I suggested, and she nailed every single one!

Our last and final location for the day was the reason that Baxter Springs was chosen as the area she wanted for her photoshoot - the field of Sunflowers was in peak bloom! The City of Baxter Springs is amazing, and they plant and maintain a gorgeous field of sunflowers on City property every year for Route 66 traveler to photograph and enjoy. We got to the field just as the sun was lowering down on the horizon, and were able to get some seriously stunning portraits of Em.

Emily’s photoshoot was so much dang fun, and we got some spectacular images for her to cherish of her Senior year! Stay tuned for her next blog which covers her sports session - it is bomb! Even though I pulled my hair out trying to find ‘favorites’ from this session, here is a whole bunch of them (but let’s be honest, this whole session was a favorite of mine!).
