It is definitely not a secret that Senior Sessions are some of my absolute favorite to shoot! I love how I get to personalize the session SO MUCH to each individual senior, and truly showcase parts of the personality in the shoot! When a senior comes to me with ideas that they would love to include in their session, I am always down!

When Ty and I started discussing what he wanted in his session, it was obvious he wanted his passions and hobbies to be the main focus. He is an awesome athlete, and his favorite sport is Basketball. So of COURSE we went to the gym first to get some awesome shots of him in his element. We got tons of shots in his uniform, on the court, and some killer shots of him shooting!

After leaving the gym, we headed to Ty’s other favorite place: the River! Ty loves to hunt, and fish, so we definitely had to include that part of himself in his shoots as well. When he told me his sweet little hunting companion was going to be included as well, I was freakin’ pumped. Ty changed into his camo and we set off to take photos of him with his gun and his dog - honestly, what more does a guy really need?

And of course, since we were at the river we had to include some shots with his catfish pole! Chetopa is known as the Catfish Capital of Kansas, afterall! We caught some awesome shots with all his gear, and really captured what Ty was envisioning for his shoot. Near the very end of the shoot we were getting into position to shoot, and my leg sunk into a hole that went all the way up to my thigh! Muddy riverbanks are not for the faint of heart!

Ty did such a killer job the entire time during his shoot - I even told him we need to get in touch with Bass Pro to see if they need a new gear model! Here are a whole lotta faves of mine from our session together!
