One of my favorite parts of being a professional photographer is building relationships and friendships with the wonderful people I photograph, and then continue to keep in touch long after their photos are delivered. It is even more special when I know my clients from before I started my photography journey, and I now get to photograph them throughout the exciting seasons in their lives. This particular shoot is super fun for me, because I already knew this momma-to-be for YEARS!

I have known Kae and her family since my own family moved to the small town of Oswego when I was 13! Her older brother was my younger brother’s best friend, so I saw Kae at plenty of school functions, games, the town hangouts, you name it. So when she reached out to me to document a huge part of her moving into a new season of her life, I was beyond flattered. This gorgeous girl was getting ready to welcome her own little baby into the world, and she wanted to make sure she captured her pregnancy in a maternity photoshoot.

We decided on to shoot at one of my favorite locations in the Parsons area that is always STUNNING in photographs! Unlucky for us, Mother Nature decided her session day should be one of the hottest and muggiest days during the whole summer. It was a balmy 95 degrees when we met at the location to shoot - but honestly, Kae looked ridiculously radiant.

Kae brought tons of creative ideas to her shoot, and I was all about it! Plenty of lace, daisies, volleyball onesies and air conditioning was used in her photoshoot! She looked effortless and glowing (Even though we were sweating our butts off), and she completely knocked her session out of the park.

I cannot wait to meet her sweet little babe when the time comes, and capture yet ANOTHER precious season of her life. Congratulations to this beautiful momma! Here are a handful of my faves from her session - but let’s be honest, they were all my faves!
