ROMANTIC MATERNITY SESSION | OSWEGO, KANSAS PHOTOGRAPHER

Over the last year, I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to capture photographs of people that they will treasure for a lifetime. These wonderful people trust me enough to let me into their lives and capture intimate, loving moments between themselves and their loved ones. Simply posing and smiling for a camera is one thing - but allowing your true feelings, laughter, and love out into the world to be snapped into a lovely portrait is another. Emotion is everything, you guys.

Lakyn + Jacob were the epitome of the sweet, loving emotion that I strive to capture. As soon as we got to our session, I knew that their photoshoot was going to be a dream. Although there was no fresh snowfall like we were hoping for, the light during their session was nothing less than dreamy.

When women are pregnant, you often hear that they have “that glow”, but I never really bought that whole idea. Until Lakyn arrived for her session. Holy moly, she is such a gorgeous momma to be! She had the absolute sweetest bump, and was completely radiating “that glow”. She was such a natural in front of the camera, and seemed to look effortlessly beautiful in every single snap.

I was melting over how adorable Lakyn + Jacob’s relationship is the ENTIRE session. From the daddy-to-be carrying the little baby shoes, ultrasound photos, and other miscellaneous supplies for shoot, to him draping his jacket over Lakyn’s shoulder while we walked from location to location, they were ridiculously cute. Also, just check out the adorable couple photos they were knocking out of the park the entire time! They were such a dreamy couple to photograph, and their love for each other and their precious little nugget was so evident - I could obsess over them all day.

Maternity sessions are one of my favorites to photograph, because they mean SO much to soon-to-be parents. This is such a special time in their lives, and it is such a joy to memorialize the last few weeks they have before they meet their little one. It is crazy to think the next time I see these two, they will be holding their precious little babe in their arms! Congratulations you two, you are going to be phenomenal parents!
