Hello my friends! I hope you had a wonderful long holiday weekend, and were able to celebrate Christmas (or whichever holiday you celebrate) with those you love the most!

My husband and I had a very busy weekend full of family, and are feeling pretty dang pooped after all the gifting, eating, drinking, eating again, and jolly good times. Santa Paws even came and left our puppers stockings full of goodies! Does anyone else feel like they need a vacation after holiday festivities (slowly raises hand)?!

Anyyyyways, I am SO excited to share this gorgeous Sweet Sixteen session with you! Back in November, I was asked to photograph the McGuire’s family session (see their adorable blog post here) , followed up by Robyn’s portraits for her 16th Birthday!

Right off the bat, Robyn was remarkably easily to photograph. I mean, just look at how stunning she is! She was so comfortable and easy going in front of the camera, and we easily hit our stride in getting some gorgeous photos in the buttery autumn light. We walked up and down a wooded trail that let some of that glorious light through, and then found some long prairie grass for her to model in. For a while during her session, her brother stood on the sidelines and cracked some ‘dad’ jokes to get her giggling and rolling her eyes at him - that sibling support was strong, guys.

After a quick outfit change, we headed to downtown Oswego for the other half of her session. She even brought along her 3 legged Boston Terrier to be a part of her session! I am totally obsessing over this beautiful lady contrasted against the worn and weathered architecture in this small town’s downtown scene!

It will be tough to decide, but I will post a handful of my favorites from her session below! I cannot wait for my next session with this wonderful family!
